Chapter AG, Foley, had a fabulous social at the Coastal Alabama Community College Culinary Center in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Chef Matt hosted 14 sisters and friends and demonstrated several recipes, including BBQ Shrimp and crab cakes. We learned lots of tips and left very full.

Chapter AG had a brown bag picnic at the pavilion in a local nature preserve. Although we all wore our masks we had to take them off to eat.

You can see we were practicing social distancing. It was a beautiful day and a real boost for those of us who attended.

Happily PCE chairman, Sandy Lloyd, presented a check to newest recipient, Marisa Simpson who is employed in administration at South Baldwin Hospital in Foley and is currently pursuing an executive MBA through Auburn.

Sadly, we were saying goodbye to long time member, Jeanie Blackburn, who is moving to Braselton, GA.

Chapter AG’s STAR Scholarship winner has just been chosen Miss Auburn University. Lauren Bradford is a beautiful, incredibly talented young lady.

Sunday night, Oct 7th, Lauren Bradford, freshman in finance, was named the winner of the Miss Auburn University Scholarship Pageant. Bradford is the second youngest woman to win the competition as a freshman, the first in 2007.

On Saturday, September 16, Chapter AG met for a “lunch bunch” and the celebration of Rosemary Hubbard’s 97th birthday.

Again this year, Chapter AG welcomed their winter visitors with a coffee at the home of member, Karen Brown.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to renew ties with sisters who come every year and to welcome those who are visiting for the first time.

During the few months these sisters are with us many of them visit our chapter meetings, one is a regular at Founders’ Day and a few sisters and BIL’s come to our annual Mardi Gras bash.

On Monday, February 22, Chapter AG hosted its annual snowbird coffee at the home of Sheila Morgan.
