Each month (except for December) your AL ACCRSC will be sending information to local chapter Cottey chairs. Please use this information for Cottey reports at your chapter meetings or as the basis for programs on Cottey. We are here to help you in any way!
The Alabama Cottey Committee invites Alabama P.E.O. Chapters to send notes of encouragement, Cottey Cash, or Care package items to these students who are often unable to return home during the school year. Each chapter is asked to reach out to one of these 11 students once or twice during the school year. 2025-2026 Alabama Cottey Chapter Assignments for Care Packages and Notes of Encouragement
Our returning Alabama Cottey student Elena Adams is graduating in December! We are so proud of her and wish to continue showing our love and support to this outstanding student! Elena has moved into an apartment and after December she plans to take a gap year, remain in Nevada and work. She has loved the treats over the past 3 years but as an alternative a Walmart or Visa gift card is requested. These cards should not exceed $25. Remember notes of encouragement are also appreciated.

We have some exciting news! There is a stateless student as a freshman at Cottey that has connections to Alabama; Charlotte Sedlacek. Her mother Sarah (Cottey “89) has kept her membership with Chapter S but because of military moves is currently in Maryland. Charlottes aunt is Sondra Koskey, Chapter AN (Cottey’91) and a Cottey chair. We are “adopting” her this year as our second student but are unable to assist with a scholarship because she does not reside in Alabama!! She has been added to our chapter assignments and would also appreciate gift cards, snacks, and even 4-5 $5 bills for spending money. Charlotte can place us in contact with other students and suite life!

Anne Mitchell, Chapter AA asked about sending cards or gifts to any Cottey girls. ABSOLUTELY! Shawn West is over Student Life at Cottey and she keeps her finger on the pulse of the Cottey girls and will make certain a card or gift is given to a girl that needs love and encouragement.
